There’s such beauty surrounding Cayo Costa Island and we saw so much of it on our Captiva Cruises iLoveShelling beach combing adventure yesterday. Sierra from Arizona fit right in with all of the beauty.
So did Alesa from Atlanta…
So did Alesa’s beach finds. Gorgeous!
Everyone I met … happy and beautiful. Just like Addie, Annie and Ashlee from Kentucky.
Kelcey and Casey from Pennsylvania snorkeled in the beautiful water to find a few treasures.
Even the tree roots made for a beautiful seat for Bonnie from Texas to sort through her beach finds.
She brought her beautiful family Sandy, Macy, Mason and Brian.
So much beautiful beach bling…
Candace, Leslie and her husband from Texas found a few treasures to make them happy.
Awwwww. Sweet Wendy. She actually made my day meeting her and talking with her on the beach about our love of shelling. She truly loves everything about the beach (xo).
On the boat ride back Patrick, Tristan, MaryBeth and Peyton from Orlando showed me their fave finds.
Such beautiful colors…
Cutie Maya from GA showed us his 2 fave finds … an ATALANTIC GIANT COCKLE and a SOUTHERN QUAHOG.
Austin and Kathryn had the best beach bling find… a good size fish lure that Austin said will be perfect to catch a Cobia.
It was such a pleasure to meet Martha, Linda, Josh, Liz, Michael, Angie and Grace from MO as well. Shellers have the nicest families!
Its always a special day when we see MANATEES swim by the shore just feet from the beach. We saw 2 of them!
Each and every beachcomber on iLoveShelling adventures seems to be one big family at the end of the day. I love these days!
And to top it off… a few BABYS EARS too…

Thank you so much for putting together this great shelling cruise, Pam. As always, I enjoyed spending time with you. Your expertise in knowing where to find those baby’s ears made my shelling day perfect. Looking forward to Big Hickory cruise in a couple of weeks!
The BABY’S EARS made my cyber~shelling day perfect too :) :)
I ALWAYS love spending time with you Diane. Thank u so much for coming. It really was a nice day. Did u tell Charlotte about that baby’s ear? Heehee
Yes, I told her to check out her Gift from the Sea. She is thrilled.
Love that first shot Pam with the beach morning glory, gorgeous and unusual…
And I always love the baby’s ears, all of them, especially when they are large.
Will you have cruises in October? Coming down 10/10-17!
Hi Pam, I just found your website and I was wondering if you could guide me as to what time of day would be best to find the pretty conch type shells. I will be leaving for Sanibel tonight and will be there tomorrow and Sunday. I’ve been to Sanibel many times but only see the small flat shells on the beach. I have never come across the larger prettier ones or sand dollars. We are huge shell collectors and I’ve always wanted to find shells in Sanibel. Thank you!
WOW!!!! As always beautiful pictures! Especially the first one! I was blessed and so excited when I visited Ocracoke in May this year! I’ve only found 3 baby ears in my life of shelling prior to that point!! I stumbled upon 52 in 3 1/2 hrs in all kinds of sizes and colors during a boating trip to Portsmouth!! I can’t begin to list all of the treasures I found during my stay there!! I consider every day on every beach a little piece of heaven!!! We never know what treasures the waves will give us minute by minute but each and every one brings joy to my heart!!! ENJOY and SHELL ON my fellow shell family and hope all of you stumble upon your favs too!!! How very many there are for the taking to help make our hearts content!!
Hi Maureen !
I was wondering where abouts you took the boating trip to Portsmouth from ? I love boating trips and that sounds like a good one. Not sure what State you are talking about as there are many Portsmouth’s (NH, RI, Etc.).
Thanks ! Pam
Okracoke and Portsmouth Island are in North Carolina.
I am assuming this is the ferry service that Maureen took:
Looks like another fun trip! Love the baby’s ears and tiny urchins. Still hoping that one of our trips down will match up with one of your Cayo Costa Trips!
