The sunsets this week have been abshellutely breathtaking!
The shelling hasn’t been so bad either.
I ran into my friend Liddy at Blind Pass on the beach shelling the other night.
Omigosh- She picked up the prettiest little orange RIBBED CANTHARUS.
Clark’s faves were an ALPHABET CONE and a FLORIDA CONE.
Riley from Cape Coral was happy watching a live LIGHTNING WHELK. I love to see beach curiosity.
Night after night over the past week, we’ve seen the sun setting over beautiful shells on the beach.
You bet your bottom DOLLAR, I’ll be out there again this week to see another exshellent sunset.
Soooo beautiful! When I was there in September the sunsets were unbelieveable. Also some evenings there were some distant storm clouds and lightning in the sky that were beautiful as well. Sanibel is such a beautiful paradise. Ten more days and I can see those sunsets for myself-can’t wait.

When I pulled up this post tonight I instantly felt a twinge of sadness that I wasn’t in FL by the ocean, as I truly love listening to the waves hitting the beach and smelling the fresh air. I swore I’d never ever leave my home state, but if I were ever able to move beach-side in FL I would sure do it! (Though for only part of the year; I could never completely move away from here–unless it were during the winter months!!)
Anyway, your photos, as always, were simply stunning. Thanks again, Pam!
Great photos Pam. I’m glad you are there to capture them for us!
Such a beautiful sunset and shells! My husband surprised me with a trip to Sanibel which is scheduled for this weekend. I’m a land lubber from Nebraska but I love shells and the beach. I checked tide charts for weekend and am a little confused. It seems not much change in tides. Sorry for the silly question but-What time of day and which beach would you suggest we try? I just love seeing the beach thru your eyes-it’s my destresser.
another great post the shells are beautiful as usual I,ve been getting a few on little hickory some cones, olives, whelks, conchs, and quahogs all nice but not a lot of them,so Friday I’m going to turners beach and bowmans beach to see the real shell areas sincerely r.g.stein
What a gorgeous shells! What a gorgeous day! That pic of the little boy is precious! Thanks for sharing….
Is that a Fitbit Flex on Clark’s left hand? If so…how does he like it?
That white band Clark has on is a G-Shock waterproof watch. We both have them and love them!
Loving the beautiful photos. They always bring me a bit of Florida- I can almost smell the sea!
Devine pictures. I’ll bet some of them would be beautiful painted???
Each post I read from you makes me want to get back to Sanibel as soon as we can. Hopefully before Thanksgiving. Thanks, Pam.
OMG!!!! That first picture of the shells and sunset is simply breathtaking and definitely needs to be put on another one of your canvas!! I was the lucky sheller that won the junonia canvas giveaway!! Every time I look at it a smile comes to my face and I long to be on Sanibel!! It is truly a piece of heaven on Earth!! As always Pam thanks for allowing all of us to live vicariously thru you each and every time you are shelling and combing the best beaches on Earth and teaching us ways to perfect our shelling skills!! You are second to none!! I’m with family on Ocracoke,NC for 2 weeks and hoping to find treasures here too!! I was unfortunately out voted on a trip back to Sanibel but hoping to come to Sanibel later on this year!! Until then happy shelling!!
