As the sun was setting near Gulf Side City Park, I witnessed a boy witnessing the golden beams of the sun reflecting on the water.
….while watching his dad watch this wonder of his son through the lens of his camera. I just love a photo of someone taking a photo…. a captured memory. This was a memory for Dave (the dad) and Joshua from Toronto.
Look who I ran into again! Diane and Steve from the golf cart parade…
They were filling their bucket with the Sanibel Six… plus a few more
I met Jan from Pittsburg who had a great shell bag. It’s a small aqua mesh bag with an outside pocket, a drawstring and a strap on the side. It’s from Bailey’s Grocery! I think I’ll have to go one too.
I didn’t see any big shell piles but I found these cute shells that somebody gathered then left for the pickins.
Ohhh, I like that bag. I just ordered one of your calenders. I can’t wait to get it!
The photo of Joshua was so touching. My “baby” turns 20 this week and it as been a week of relflection. That photo will be one that Joshua and his family can look back on with fond memories on beautiful Sanibel Island. Thanks for sharing Pam!
What an AWESOME memory of a father and son! thxs<3
Love your Site, I check it every day. We are over by Jacksonville and because of your posts, we are planning a trip soon to your area.
You make a shell picker’s heart skip a beat! It was also nice to find your links to tours and other places of interest. You should get a medal from the Chamber of Commerce!
I love your decorating ideas too, we live in a 40′ RV so storing shells is an issue, but compared to other collectibles it’s a great hobby and they make great gifts to our Northern friends!
Love the pics of the boy!
That bag is a must have for me too!
Nice pics Pam! Great to be here. I got up and went out in the dark at 5 am to catch the minus tide. The high point was seeing a beautiful really big live horse conch with that gorgeous orange body they have. And lots of live fighting conchs. And so many empty but whole pen shells!
By the way, the fossil shell “gravel” they use to cover the paths here is really amazing!
What a place this is!
That picture would be perfect for next year’s calendar.
Thanks for sharing the pictures of the boy in the golden sunset — they are beautiful!!! Someone has a perfect picture for their christmas card!!!
WOW Pam , what can I say ??? The picture of the little boy !!!! I sat here just looking at it for several minutes , can’t describe the feeling I got from it . You rock with your camera just like you rock with the shells ! Thanks for sharing your passion with all of us !!
Found clear glass ornaments with wide tops at Michael’s. They are perfect for adding sand and mini shells.
Great pic of the boy in the sunset. Nice big cone and some great lace murex in that bucket!! Woo-hoo!
Awesome golden sunset pictures!!
