We are coming down for the third year in a row with a new baby so we are flying from Buffalo rather than driving. We have to travel light which means buying stuff when we get there.
Last year I was too pregnant to bend and shell like a champ. So this winter I have to make up for it! And we have to raise the kids right, you know?

I would to win this give card for my wife. We have been visiting the wonderful beaches for the last ten years. It’s always a joy to watch her shelling and making new discoveries. She has gotten my daughter interested in shelling. It’s always good to see them compare their findings.
I want to be included in the Yolo drawing because I LOVE shelling and I’ve been doing it my whole life and I REALLY needs a new mask. I watch all of your videos and every day I look to see your new blog about what you found. I’m currently in high school taking a Marine Science Honors class and I’m also a member of the Marine Biology Club at school because I love everything about the ocean. We recently did a beach clean-up at Clam Pass last weekend. We found a giant dead blue crab, a giant black seahorse, loads of Worm Shells and conchs, and a cute Gopher Turtle walking in the mangroves. I have almost every Florida shell and I plan to move to Sanibel after college. I’ve only been twice to Sanibel, but the ocean’s my life. I’ve lived on the beach my whole life and it’s where I spend my free time. The website I gave you is my moms and she’s a photographer who’s OBSESSED with the beach also. It would be amazing for me to win this contest because the ocean is my world and I enjoy all of its treasures. A new snorkel mask would be awesome to have to be able to explore all of the amazing sea creatures and to find beautiful shells that lie on the ocean floor.

Oh what a great-looking shop!!!! Me & my fiance are getting married on Sanibel in February & this would be a great way for us to celebrate!! We met almost 30 years ago & dated, then lost touch after he went in to the service. We rekindled our relationship a few years ago & are making up for lost time. He is truly my soul mate!! Our first trip to the island was back in Jan., and we couldn’t think of any where more perfect than on the island!!

I (46 & out of shape) went parasailing (for the first time ever) at YOLO Captiva with my 14 yr old daughter in early June of this year & had the BEST time! Professional & friendly staff both on & off the boat….totally worth the cost!

I remember passing your store while in Captiva. We were there last May and plan another trip next April-May. We are die hard shellers and God willing will retire in Sanibel one day……We hit the Key Lime Bistro for a killer Mahi sandwich lunch (after catching a shark with a local charter:)))))) this spast July!!! After four recent visits to Sanibel/Captival this was our first visit to the YOLO neighbourhood! After lunch, we took a walk down Andy Rosse Lane and happened upon their store. At the end of our vacation we were unable to capitalize on their rentals…….after popping into their store we bought a YOLO sticker that we proudly dawn on our car (right beside our SI sticker
)). We look forward to renting from them in the future-really hoping to give us a shelling advantage

I would love to win the give away! My family and I just went to Sanibel in August and plan to go to Captiva next summer too. We would love it Pam if you did group shelling excursions since our finds from Bowmans and the lighthouse weren’t as plentiful as your shelling finds. Overall, we managed to bring home 40 pounds of shells from all over Florida during our three week stay! We love your posts and video because we learn so much from what you share. We even cleaned our shells with muriatic acid and the results werew great!

Would love to win a gift card from YOLO. My son, Bret, rented a surfboard last Christmas from YOLO and was surfing in front of Mitchell’s Sandcastles, when people on the beach started yelling at him to come in. When he turned around to look it appeared there was a 6′ -8′ bull shark swimming just behind the sandbar. He had to cut short his surfing so he lost the rest of his days rental! Maybe he can try again this Christmas!

Sanibel and Captiva are my favorite places to be. I have been going ever since I was a little girl. I love Sanibel and shelling so much that I dream about them from time to time! My husband and I retired and moved to SW Florida 12 years ago for the wonderful boating in the area. Then I discovered SHELLING! I just got back from Sanibel. Had a excellent time there. I ended up with many cuts and blisters on my feet from all the rubbing of the waves. I could use some new water shoes for my next trip!

We always go shelling at Blind Pass when we stay at our vacation place in Fort Myers (at least 4 times a year). To win this stuff would simply be shellexcellent and help us to search for the Junonia.

Please enter me into the contest. My wife and I have been coming down from Buffalo, NY for twenty years. Our next visit will be this December. We enjoy shelling and have found your web site to almost as nice as being there. This past summer we came down in July because of the dredging that was to have been in progress. Shelling can be great when the dredging is going on. We saw the dredge but it was not actually working in early July. That was disappointing. I also was surprised at how hot it was even on the beach. I thought it might be 10 degrees cooler by being next to the water. But it still was 93 degrees. Too hot for me to enjoy. We know that it will be a little cooler in December. I need to replace my water shoes. They got torn up on pen shells while digging for my 2 beautiful horse conch shells. I tried sewing them and the next day back in the water I shredded them again. So a YOLO gift card would be helpful.

We learned to paddleboard in Kauai and would use this generous gift to rent paddleboards and discover the clear, warm, beautiful waters of Sanibel when we come next month…for the 3rd time in a year and a half! Facing a rare tumor diagnosis–the first item on my “bucket list” is to go pick up seashells! Twenty-seven years ago, while my husband was in Ft. Myers on a business trip, I flew in to join him for the weekend. Having just read an article in Southern Living magazine about Sanibel, I was anxious to check out the shelling. Around 5:00 AM I woke him up, saying, “Get up we’re going to look for sea shells.” His response (cleaned up a little), “The heck you say!” Now we look forward to our annual trip to Sanibel and he’s the first one up each morning to hurry to the beach. We love Sanibel and Captiva and never consider vacationing on any other beaches.

It would be wonderful to win this giveaway!!! I have been planning to buy some new shelling equipment. My husband and I will be visiting Sanibel for the month of October and I plan to shell everyday. I STALK the I LOVE SHELLING website to find out where people are finding great shells.
It’s so sad to be checking the site and see great shell finds when I am stuck home in Northern VA. We hope the shelling will be FINE for October. I hope to run into on the beach while we are hear. I met Donnie last year. It would be nice to make another new shelling friend.

If I won the giveaway, I would probably use it to go out on a waverunner. I’ve been out on one once before and it is awesome. Although, I would probably also entertain going parasailing. That’s always looked like a fun time.

I love Sanibel. It is one of my favorite places in the world. I would live there if I could. Have only been to Captiva once. Going to have to check it out more. I have been getting into making jewelry and other crafts from all the shells I have collected. I would love to win the $100 card. I will have to check out YOLO the next time I am in Fla.

My husband Bob and I plan to be in Sanibel and Captiva on October 24 through November 7. This will be our fifth trip to the islands, and our second trip this year. We both are “official” senior citizens, but we can still do the Sanibel stoop and the, and very nicely I might add.
Please enter both of us, or either of us, in the Yolo contest. We can always use more shelling equipment, and winning this will give us another opportunity to visit ya’ll.

This is the first “girl’s weekend” we have ever had and we’re coming in October to your beautiful corner of the world!
