I live in northern California… are there any places to find nice shells along our California coast?
Whenever I’m in an area along a coast (been traveling for 3 years), I Google “shelling beaches in California” or the state you want. No need for quotes. You can also name an area you want such as shelling on Monterey beach. When on the Atlantic coast, the iloveshelling.com website is THE best and Pam seems to be a really great person too. P.S. I’m from WA state and there just aren’t any shells there! But I frequently find a sand dollar! Good luck!
Pam, I’ve written a very short song for you. You should be able to figure out the tune. “We’re going to Sanibel, where the shelling is really swell, hi-ho the shelly-o, we’re going to Sanibel!” I’m coming back to your beautiful island 3/18-24/2019, in a couple of days, woo hoo! I’m so excited, can hardly wait!! Hope to see your shelly VW! And if I’m really lucky, maybe even see/meet you! I have some fossil shells to be identified by the Matthew Bailey museum too!
