HI Pam- Getting my “daily dose” of Sanibel and saw the giveaway!! Yay! Please enter me!! Thanks!

We were in Sanibel in July and I miss it already. Please enter me in the drawing
Pick me, choose me, enter me in the give away, please.
Good Morning Pam,
I want to be included in the seashell scoop giveaway! Have a super
blessed week on the beach!
I have one of these shell sifter, but I would love to win another one so my husband can stop stealing mine! Love these sifters and Love Sanibel Island!!! We can’t wait to come back!!!
I would love to win a sifter…especially when Clark was showing me how many awesome shells he was pulling up with his. (He even shared a couple of his shells with me!!!) I am hoping to get back to Sanibel soon. Really missing the beach!!
I would really love to win one of these. I can’t justify buying one until I have a trip planned but if I won one, it would be a good excuse to give my DH why we have to make a trip to Sanibel soon!!
Always checking this blog to get my fill of virtual shelling. Thank you so much!!
would love to be included in the giveaway!! Will be there in October…..
I visit your wonderful site almost daily; I especially love your beautiful pictures! Please keep them coming!
I would love to win the sifter-scoop, too! I hope to visit Sanibel again in March 2012 and anything I can do to minimize bending down hundreds of times as I ‘harvest’ shells would be appreciated by my aged (and somewhat disabled) body!
Seeing the scoop again brings a question to mind: I’ve noticed some shellers with VERY VERY long (approx 18″ or more?!) tweezers/tongs/’picker-upper’ tools to actually grasp individual shells off the beach. Do you know where they get those?
I’m so excited! I have wanted a sifter ever since I found I Love Shelling! My husband lost his job with a major newspaper a year before his retirement. We moved to the Cape to be near our sons and my family. Its been hard financially, but boy are we blessed to be surrounded by the beaches SW Florida! Dan and I are one with the Universe when we beachcomb! Beachcombing is the best way to unwind while helping to keep our beaches clean. Yes, I would love to win a sifter!!
That’s the one thing I don’t have for shelling! Think I’m needing that for my December trip with my daughter Shell and my friend, Barb!! hehehe
Oh I love that seashell sifter; would love to have one so please enter me in your contest! I am hoping and praying my husband will be able to take off work this fall for us to visit our beloved island, Sanibel. We haven’t been able to come down there since 2009 due to economy/lack of work but now that he is working again, can’t find the time but I am trying to get him to take off. I miss Sanibel so much; will be 2 years in September since we have been. I’ve been vacationing there since 1977 and my hubby was given the “Sanibel test” in 1983 before we married to be sure he loved my vacation spot………….he did and does!!
I love your blog and the photos keep me in touch with the most special place in the world to me!!
As I sit in central Illinois, far from the beach and shells, I visit your website and read your messages on Facebook every day to be reminded of the beach!
Love all the photos!
We will be there on Thursday! Would love to win the sifter but can I buy one on the Island? Would love to meet up with you I Love Shelling! :)
I’d love to win one of those. Oh and could you throw in a beach with it? Ya know, since I’m STUCK in the mountains. :( *sigh*
Pam forgot to mention that when you win the scoop you become an instant celebrity. You wouldn’t believe the people who would recognize me on the beach with my scoop that I won last year. So not only did I win the scoop, I gained a lot of new friends. Thanks again Pam. No need to enter this year, I’m already a winner in more ways that I can count.
I Love I Love Shelling!
I Love Sanibel and Captiva-
Whenever I go, I got the shelling fever-
I’ve done the ‘stoop’ – but could sure use a scoop-
Need a beautiful shell lifter – please enter me for the sifter!
I look for you all of the time that I am on the beaches. I think I passed you once but I had just taken off my ILS hat and put it in my bag… I couldn’t get it out fast enough to attract your attention!! LOVE your blog!
Hi Pam!! I would love to be entered in the contest!! My husband and I due to owning a business have sadly:( not been able to make it to our favorite place in the world for the last 3 yrs:(:(. But hopefully in the coming year we will once again be able to drive across the causeway and see paradise once again god willing:)
I’d love to win one – or at least tell me where I can pick one up on the island – I will be there in 2 weeks!!!! I cannot wait!
I Ordered one from this site and got it in less than 2 weeks. I just got back from Sanibel and loved it.
But, found out best shelling is in the winter. Oh well.
Gorgeous shells await me and my shellseekers (my two sons). We would love to win this fab sifter!
ooooh – that would be fun to win! My daughters and I love to go shelling! :o)
thanks for offering!
I love shelling and I love this blog ! I would love to win this giveaway :)
THANKS for yet another awesome giveaway Pam, I appreciate being entered into your contest! And thank you as always for providing me with a little shelling and beach escape while I’m trapped in the office. Planning on coming to Florida next year!

WooHoo!!!! I love to see all the shells show up in the pictures with the sifter! Please enter me in the giveaway as I plan on shelling lots more now that I’ve discovered how fun it is! (I had never really been to a seashore that had lots of shells till this past summer when we came to Fort Myers & Sanibel). Thanks for sharing so frequently the joys of the beach!
First off I love that I found this blog today! I love the ocean and the beaches. Discovering new shells along the Florida beaches is always an amazing time of discovery. This shelling tool would be great to use when exploring our coast lines. Thank you and I look forward to following your blog.
Would love to be added to your drawing for the shell sifter. (Say that 5 times really fast!)
I love your website! I check it every day, it’s habit forming.
We’ve been coming to Sanibel for years. And I have shells coming out of my eyeballs. But there is no way I’ll stop collecting! one of those sifters would sure come in handy as we are coming to Sanibel in September. So would you please enter me in the contest for that cool sifter.
You heard ‘Hubby’ mention it when we were there and met you earlier this month…”I’ve got to get me one of those!” Well I did hear it and already found out where to buy one for him for his birthday!! He is so hard to buy for, never mentions anything….it would really be cool to get one from Pam the Sanibel Shell Administrator….that ought to increase the value at least 10 fold!! :)
BTW….maybe you should keep it for yourself so you can get all the Junonias instead of Clark!! :)
::Shelllady and Home girl Cheri::
I always learn something new about shells after reading your blog. I need one of those sifters to be like super sheller Clark. Here’s hoping I win the drawing!!!
That is something I definitely need! It would go nicely with my I Love Shelling beach bag :) Happy Shelling, Pam! :)
I found your page through Florida Beach Hunter, just around this time last year, and I so enjoy your posts and blogs. I love shelling Sanibel; however, I live on the east coast and would love to own my own sifter to really be able to get down under the shore break where most of the good ones over here lay.
Thanks for the opportunity!
I have had a myriad of cancer illnesses over the past 15 years and have miraculously survived them all and, finally, are planning a trip back to Sanibel next year. This shell sifter would be great for my bad neck & back as I can’t do the STOOP anymore……much love & blessings, Susan
You know that we would love one! After seeing Clark in action, it is a must have! Hoping to be there in November!
I’d love to win a sifter, so please enter my name.
As always, you are my breath of calm in a crazy world. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you keeping me connected to my favorite place.
I would love to have one of these!
Love your blog and am looking forward to visiting Sanibel with my husband!
Keeping my fingers crossed!
August 21st is my birthday! Winning a shelling scoop would be a wonderful gift!

These pictures and finding your website make me more determined than ever to return to Sanibel and bring the grandchildren to paradise with me! Would love to have a scoop. Can you scoop coquina with it? My mom made the very best soup which we called Periwinkle Stew with those coquina, milk, butter, salt and pepper A little taste of heaven.
Hi, I’ve been wanting one of these. I am a newly obsessed sheller!!!!! I am also newly addicted to this site, thanks so much for your posts!!
Always get excited when I see a new post from you! Can’t wait to come back to Sanibel!
I love your blog! And, I would love the sifter…it would be very handy for my upcoming trip! Staying in Fort Myers (and visiting Sanibel!) at the end of October with my mom and sister. It’s my favorite vacation spot!!!
Hi Antonia, do you have any opinion on places to stay on Ft Myers Beach? I am considering a vacation package that includes The Outrigger, any thoughts? Thanks for any advice!

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE PICK ME!!!!
Will be in Sanibel on Sept.7th for 10 days!
I’m sooooo excited! This will our 2nd visit & I’m looking forward to
being on the beach & picking shells. No shells in beautiful Colorado.
Louise – I am also a beach/sea shell collector living in Colorado. Maybe we could compare notes where to find beach decor in CO and the best beaches (in addition to Sanibel) to comb for shells.
Loving your blog! My husband and I made our first trip to Sanibel in 2009 and are headed back your way this November to celebrate our 26th anniversary. We’re both really looking forward to it. In fact, I’m so excited that I’ve been giving my husband the daily Sanibel countdown every morning to the tune of “99 Bottles of Beer on Wall.” As you can imagine, he really enjoys getting that stuck in his head before heading off to work!
My Mom lives in Tarpon Springs and we love to go shelling we have not been to Sanibel yet but we are trying to plan a trip down there; but I live in St. Louis, MO so it is going to take some planning. I came across your web site when I was trying to find some or the shells we collected. I just love your site. I look at it everyday. I would love a sifter.
Love your blog!!!! If I win I’ll come and get it!!!
Hope I win!
My shelling net finally died last year. I’m counting down – 54 days – until we return. I would love to have a shell sifter when I get there!!!
I would love to be included in the Susick Seashell Sifter giveaway. It would be perfect timing for my Sanibel vacation. This is so generous of you, no matter who wins. Good luck to all! Love to read your blog and check it daily. Thank you for all you do…

Heading for Sanibel Sept. 8. Hope to see you then. If I win the sifter, we will definitely have to meet! Enjoy your site tremendously & check it daily to see the beach & what you have posted. Great thing you are doing & appreciate the time you devote to it.
Thanks for entering me in the sifter contest.
Third time’s a charm….we’ll be down again in a few short months, we always make Sanibel a major part of our stay.
I am a shell sista wanting to sift some seashells!
Hard to express in words how I feel about Sanibel. It is so wonderful with the shells, palm trees, nature, and friendly people. I hadn’t been there since I was a small child, but always remembered it. Thanks to your blog and pictures, I convinced my family to go there. We just returned from our trip and have already made reservations to go back!
Please include me in your sifter giveaway
I normally read ALL the comments when I check out your blog each day. I always look in the morning whn I get to work and am having my first few sips of coffee and again after lunch. I was pleasantly surprised to see a new post and a giveaway one at that. But HOLEY MOLEY that’s alot of comments!

I’d love a scoop, please include me in the giveaway! My husband has been mentioning that you don’t have them for sale anymore. Please let us know where we can pick one up, should I not win, (although I think I will!)
Would love to win this for my upcoming trip to Sanibel on August 27th with my Mom and Dad. It would sure help with the “Sanibel Stoop” we get from a week of bending over. See you in Sanibel!!!
Hi Pam, my office manager just spent a week in Sanibe( I almost snuck into her trunk) I would love a new toy, I bought one for my friend for her B-day.

Sanibel is my favorite place in the world. Your blog keeps makes my heart happy everday when I read it. It makes me look forward to the day when I can spend my time looking for the sea’s treasure, feel the sun on my back, and the breeze blowing thru my hair.
I’ll be back for the season in about 3 months, so I’ll need one of these shell sifters!
I always wondered where to get one of those scoops….PLEASE INCLUDE ME IN YOUR GIVEAWAY/DRAWING!!!!
My girlfriend and I met you in January on Sanibel Island….I had found a very large worm rock that you took pictures of along with some of our other treasures that day. I love the pictures on your website and seeing all the wonderful shell treasures that people find. Maybe I’ll be seeing you again, with your camera in hand, on the beach real soon!
This would be perfect for my trip on September 10!!!
I would love to win the scoop! Thanks for the giveaway.
What a wonderful gift this is. I will give it to myself for my birthday if I win! LOL

The shell shovel rules!
We were there this weekend and I sure could have used one of these! I looked for one, but ended up with the net and just didn’t have much luck. I am positive that were I equipped with one of these I would’ve found something wonderful. Please include me in your giveaway. Though the shelling was a bit harder than used to, we had a phenomenal time and I look forward to coming back soon.
I’ve been in love with the shells of Sanibel since 1998 when my feet first hit the sand near the Lighthouse. My husband and I have made about 10 trips in the years since then and I’m hoping to come back soon. I have found your blog to be a daily meditation, a glimpse of the world I don’t see as often as I’d like, and a reminder of what I hope I’ll have access to in the future. Thank you for that. And please don’t stop!
I could really use one of those super fantastic shovel sifters. It would help me find some more Imperfect shells!!
I would love to be included in the shelling give away….
Love your blog!!
the teal tide
carries a shell
I must sift
I went ahead and ordered myself one of those sifters a couple months ago, so I will be bringing it down with me to Sanibel in December. However, if I won another one I would give it to my shelling sister Nikki on the island of Nevis next April so she can scoop shells out of what I call “the gutter”, where so many cool shells rest rather out of sight.
Wow… this is some serious competition!
As always the possibility of being a recipient of your generous offer of a free gift is eagerly welcomed and anticipated. I enjoy your blog and look forward to it every day. Thank you.
I love getting your e-mails and sharing the pictures from your blog with my kids (6 and 8) who shelled for the first time in June on Sanibel. We’d love to win the sifter scoop to use when we come back next summer!
This would come in handy when I visit Sanibel in November!!!!!!!!!!
Nifty tool! Sign me up please! Tracie
I can’t wait to see what’s new on our favorite island every day. We met you in January at Blind Pass (I was the one who found the megalodon tooth) We came down in June and I was hoping to run into you, but – no luck. We aren’t due to come down again til next July – so far away! So keep up the good work and the gorgeous pictures!!!! Thanks for all the time you spend to share paradise with us.
Please enter me in your giveaway and I HOPE I WIN!!!
we leave for the beach September 1st.. I would love to win this to take with us!
Just went shelling yesterday in Hobe Sound and found a few goodies including a really nice Hawk-wing conch. The shelling of course can’t compare to Sanibel! I could have used this scoop yesterday in the rougher water of the Atlantic. It will definitely come in handy when I make my annual Thanksgiving trip to Sanibel.
77 days till we are on Sanibel. So, we could use that pretty blue shell sifter. :-)
Lee & Bill
That shifter looks Shelltastic!!! count me in! Isnt it amazing how we all want something for free; konda like finding that most wonderful shell!
Here on Sanibel until the 18th! Having a wonderfully relaxing time on our “Girl’s week away” with my Mom, daughter and her friend……. Nothing like Sanibel for a great vacation!
Your brother has the right idea, Pam — one for each hand!!! Maybe I could win one and purchase another???
I did the “stoop” when you inspired me to come to Sanibel in April. Here at home, we do the “Hawaii hunch”….
Any suggestions of beaches to shell in Hawaii? We’ll be going in Jan 2012 — hope to bring home a unique souvenir!
If you go to Kauai be sure and visit glass beach…not many shells but you may find lots of beautiful sea glass if your timing is right….nothing like finding treasures from the sea.
and to My Sweet Shelling Sistah, Pam
You are the soul of Sanibel because you bring me such joyful memories…and I will be back!!
Thanks for the suggestion, Sani-Belle Val. I hope I can find at least a few Pacific Ocean shells but beach glass is great too.
Please enter me in the drawing.
Gotta ask: is “Susick Sea Shell Sifter Shelling Scoop” a perfect example of alliteration or not?? smile, smile
Another great giveaway, Pam. We’ll be there for my annual birthday trek. Looking forward to stooping low!!! Been reading your blog to keep the anticipation up. See you soon.
Need a sifter for October!
I’ve been “lurking” on your blog for a long time…love it! But I’ll definitely come out of the shadows for a chance to win a new scooper since mine is falling apart! I have a place in Venice and so I love those sharks teeth, but I’m envious of all of your gorgeous shells! I’ll have to make a trip to Sanibel this fall! Keep up the great work…and thanks for sharing!
Please Enter me. Thanks.
I love shelling on Sanibel! I would enjoy trying a new way to shell!
I’d LOVE one of those scoopers………….it would help me find a junonia!! thanks

Hi, love your blog. First time trying to reply so this is a test. Hope it makes it and is entered to win the scooper.
Would love to win one of these. It would help save my back from the “stoop” I always get when we are on Sanibel. Love all the beautiful pictures on this site.
Please enter my name in your wonderful give-away. I would be so pleased to have a nifty scoop next time I visit Sanibel. If more and more people start getting/using scoopers won’t the Sanibel Stoop become extinct?!?
i want to be included in the drawing! thanks pam…..
Sign me up!!!
Enter me please. Ordered one before our beach trip this July and it worked great and we need another one so the teens have one too! Thanks!
I love your blog. For the past ten years, I’ve been going to Sanibel Island with my parents for two weeks every November. My parents’ health issues have prevented our trip for the past two years. Your blog keeps me connected and reminds me of all the fun I’m missing. We are trying to get to the island this November. I hope it happens.
Just spent a lovely weekend looking for treasures, shells and you! Got lots of shells, but no sign of you! I have to admit I didn’t look up too often, but when I did, I was looking for you! Used my sifter for the first time and LOVE it. Only thing is, we have two sifters and there were three of us, so I really could use one more sifter for our trip back in October. Sharing is hard with such a cool tool!
Oh my goodness – you probably didn’t realize you have sooo many followers! I could really use a seashell sifter scoop, please enter me in the drawing!
Count me in. I am counting down the days till our vacation in october. Hope to see you there.
I would love to get one of those scoops! I would love to be in Sanibel right now. I love shells and have boxes full in my attic but cannot part with any. I also have shells and shell motif items all over my house. I wish I could win, but holding my breath is not likely to make it happen.
We have been coming to Sanibel since 1976 with my folks. In 2006 we were fortunate to invest in our own condo on the island. We continue to love our visits from Iowa and are avid shellers. We would love to try this sifter. And we hope to meet you on the beaches one day. Love and appreciate your wonderful blog.
I’m going to be there next summer and I’ll need this gizmo for sure!
Include me in the give-a-way. Planning our December and March trips…Bringing some novice shellers with us this year.
Pam, please include me in the scoop give away. What a cool thing to do for us far away shellaholics. I have shelled on Sanibel two years in a row and it is now my favorite place to be. Your blogs keeps it fresh and gives me the jolt I need to keep plugging away until I return in January.
Love your site. I would love one of these sifters. My daughter and I and my grandchildren come to Sanibel 2 or 3 times a year and just love to get shells. I look at your site every day and just drool over your finds. LOL Thank you
OMG, that Sifter is AWESOME, We will be in Sanibel, the week of Sept, 3 – 10. This would be so much easier than the (pooper scooper) I was planning on bringing. LOL. Went to Panama City Beach this past June, with Family & grandkids. Seashell hunt wasn’t good at all. This trip will be just my sister, husband & ourselves. Can’t wait to find shells. See Ya, Melissa
We live in Navarre and think that it’s the 2nd (maybe 3rd) best shelling spot in Florida (but you have to know where to go). Plan on being in Sanibel again in November. Hope to be able to run into you and Clark. Thanks for the giveaway.
I would love to be entered to win the shelling scoop. YEA!
we love your blog!
Wow, I would love to win the scooper. I have only been to Sanibel once but I talk about it every day and keep a map of the island in my office. My son says when he is rich, he is going to buy me a house there. I AM HOPING IT ALL COMES TRUE! Thanks for your site. I love your pictures!
We NEED a sifter scoop…pick me!!
Is it possible to find an albino banded tulip? I found a white banded tulip with yellowish lines. I found in the water so it probably isn’t sun bleached and it’s smooth so it’s not worn away. I would really lik to know if this was normal or if I found a rare treasure. I would really appreciate it if you could show tell me your thoughts, perhaps on your blog.
Just home from a week up north doing the ‘Madeline Island stoop’ – picking up the rounded rocks from Lake Superior and would love to win a shell scoop to use on my trips to Florida.
Ever since our first trip to Florida in February 2011 I have visited this site almost daily to enjoy the shelling even though we are not there. When stressed this site is my happy place and I really enjoy it. Thanks. Please enter me in the draw for the scoop. I know I would put it to good use.
I would love a shell sifter! Thanks for doing the giveaway. It’s so much fun!

Love your website, keeps me close to the beach. Hope I win the scoop!
I would love to win this! My sister and I come to Sanibel once a year. You posted a picture of us in June watching the sunset. We are the girls in the hats!
Ok Pam, I could use another sifter because everyone keeps borrowing mine. The whole family will be down there the first week of November. In stead of you mailing it to Indiana and me trying to pack it in my carry on,I could pick up my prize from you instead. Besides I’m needing another blue T shirt, so I need to pay you a visit.
Can’t wait to see Sanibel again.
It would be sooooo amazing to win that special scooper!!! I hope the shell gods are with me on this one!!!
Hi Pam, What perfect timing. Granddaughter Kaitlyn and I along with the rest of the family just booked our family vacation on Sanibel. We’ll be arriving on Dec 31st. The scoop would be a perfect treat for the two of us that think shelling should begin before dawn!!! . We’ll be wearing our I Love Shelling shirts around Pointe we’re counting the days. Sue and Kaitlyn from Pa.
We met our son (who’s in the Air Force stationed in Tucson) and his family in Sanibel in June for our 14 month old grandson’s first beach vacation! He loved it and we found so many awesome shells I had to pay a $50 overweight baggage fee because of refusal to edit my haul! We hope to return this fall since my son is looking at his third deployment and we need our beach fix in cause he goes! We sure could use the scooper to aid our hunt. Please enter me in the giveaway!
Parker , you can always do what I do . Love to get my ocean goodies & souvenirs home . So I always ship my dirty clothes home ( Pak-N-Ship ) , I CAN wait to get them !!! LOL !!! Saves you the extra baggage fee also , much cheaper !!!
Wow…Stuck in beachless PA but waiting for our next Sanibel/Captiva getaway this fall…More than ten years now of glorious times shelling & loving everything there…Would enjoy having your shelling scoop to help with the stoop!
Hi Pam, My friend and I visited Sanibel Island for a week in May after discovering your website last year. She has been a shelling addict for years, and now I am hooked! We have learned so much about the different types of shells and sea life. The pictures you take are beautiful. We are planning our trip for next year. Please keep up the great work!
I love my scoop, but could use another one so I don’t have to share with my 4 kids and husband!!!!!
I look forward to your message and think of the beach while living in Pittsburgh. See you next June!
Your blog is like a lifeline to me. I love Sanibel and the shells but live in Indiana. Daydream about being in Sanibel all the time. Your blog helps me with the cravings until I can get there again. Hopefully August 2012! Until then I do all my shelling through your “Virtual Shelling” pics. Thanks for the wonderful site.
I would love to win the scoop. I follow you daily!
I want someone to say Susick Sea Shell Sifter Scoop 5 times fast. Please enter me in your drawing
Here I sit, in HOT Texas, wishing I was back on Sanibel! Winning this shell sifter would be an excellent reason to return! As if I needed a reason. Please enter me in the contest.
I love your blog and would love to be entered in the contest.
The Susick Sea Shell Sifter shelling scoop is the serious sea shell tool for serious Sanibel Sea Shellers who like to scoop shells. (ha! Say THAT 3 times!)
Oh, my…do I need a shelling scoop for each hand like your bro in the pix? I’d be delighted to win one, but I already have a sifter listed on my Toy List!
I can hardly wait to scoop-de-doo sometime this fall or winter. Woo Hoo!
I would love to be entered in your give away! My son and I always look forward to reading your blogs about shelling.
Got one of these before our trip to Sanibel. Work well, love to win another, Mike
I just saw your contest for the sheller, and would love to enter. My sister and I have been coming to Sanibel for the past 5 years, and LOVE IT!!!:-) We found many shells while there in June and can’t wait until we come back next year. Love the website, and look forward to seeing what you have found daily!! :-) Thanks for sharing your many treasures and finds with all of us who can’t be there. Andrean
Hi Pam, I would like to be entered in the contest. I already have one , but I have broken 2 of them that I got from the bait box from enthusiastically shelling. You always need a backup scoop and always have one on hand if company comes!!
OH, FOR THE LOVE OF SHELLING!!!!!!!
I really need this for our annual migration to Sanibel in Oct. This yr it will be me, my hubby, my mom, my sister, hubby’s sister and her hubby. Wouldn’t it be something if you found us all on the beach at the same time wearing your blue T-shirts. Hmmmm, I feel a gift giving opportunity arising!
Love your blog. . . please don’t ever stop.
Martha (aka Mrs Sharkeye)
I really enjoy your website and would love win to a Shell Shifter! Happy Shelling!
PLEASE enter me in the contest! If I win I have even more of a reason to come back to Sanibel! I’ll even come pick up the Scoop!!
Hi Pam Coming down in November! Oh, how I wish to win a shelling Scoop! Love your blog. Makes my morning to check it before work. Barb Collins
Hooray! Another giveaway! I sure could have used this last month when we were on Sanibel. We had a great time. But one week a year isn’t long enough. Can’t wait to retire or win the lottery! Maybe I will win this giveaway.
Thanks for doing another give away Pam. Love Sanibel and your blog very much.
Please enter me in the contest…It will save my back from all the shelling I do and I do a lot of shelling while I am on the island
I would love to be entered; I am hoping to be there Sept 2 for my birthday.
That would make a nice birthday present! I tried to get there all summer but it just was not in the cards for me. I am totally going through some sanibel withdrawal. Thanks Pam for helping me with that with your blog.
Judging by the response you are getting, you may have to drop them all in a bag and choose one!! I would love to have this to go with my I Love Shelling shirts for our two “rookies” we are bringing to the Island in October. Good luck to us!!
Love your website! Keeps me in touch until our next visit.
Took a while to get to the bottom, lots of shellers out there!
Would love to use this in February! Hope I can get it on the plane :) I already have to be searched due to two hip replacements, but what the heck! Makes the trip more appreciated when you go through a bit of work!
Please include me in the drawing.
I would love to win this, as we are planning a trip to Sanibel in April, and I already have my “I Love Shelling” shirt ready to go!
I love shelling and I love Sanibel!
Thanks Pam, for always sharing : good people doing what I love in one of the best places in the world ……people shelling on Sanibel. I hope to meet you this October when I visit!!
Ps…I could pick up the blue shell scooper then! Heehee!
This would be perfect for my very first trip to Sanibel that I will go on one day! (the sooner the better) maybe next year!
Love your web site! On my way to Sanibel this weekend!
Will be visiting paradise (Sanibel) for a week starting August 27th with
my daughter and husband. The shell sifter would really come in handy
on my quest for the ever elusive Junonia. Love your website!
I love my little blue scooper. Would love to have two. Nothing better than a double scoop!!!! Twice the chance to scoop up one of those Junonias.
Hi! Vacationed in Sanibel in may and tried my best to become a “super sheller” without a super blue scoop…..didn’t happen! Coming back in october for a 2nd try and would love to have a scoop to use! Please pick me! Thank you! Martha :)
A giveaway! Yeah!! Saving for a winter shelling trip since I have only been there in the spring, and the summer, and the fall, I need to be there in the winter. So it would be just great to win a giveaway so I can be like your wonderful Clark and just scoop up those shells. Thanks for the opportunity and for the wonderful blog.
Yeah another giveaway! We have 1 of the scoopers and love it, but 2 would definitely increase our chances to try to catch up to Clark…which I don’t think is even possible at this point, but does make for quite the challenge!
Wow! I cannot believe how many shelling friends have responded to this post- awesome! Count me in for the contest- it’s just one of the many terrific things you do for all of us. Thanks, Pam!
I was just looking at these scoops this morning. We are going to Sanibel in a few months and would love to have one for all of our shelling.
Would love to win this – great excuse to plan another trip!
Congratulations on winning the Susick Sea Shell Sifter.
We just wanted to let you know it was shipped out to you Thurs. 08/24/2011 via USPS Parcel Post. Please allow 5 – 7 business days for delivery.
We hope you enjoy using it. Happy Shelling!

The Team at RES Creations
I will be arriving on Sanibel on August 26th!! This is just what I need to snag all those great shells!!
We were in Sanibel in June for the first time. I want to come back next year. Hubby has been asking where we should go and im voting Sanibel! Maybe I will run into you at Blind Pass next time. This scoop would give us a reason to go back. My daughter loved shelling…
Boy could we have used the sifter at Blind Pass this summer! We enjoy your blog every day and live vicariously through you all year Pam :)
Would love to win this great little tool for shelling. I visit you website daily and
love it. My sister and I visit every year and collect shells, and then the Sanibel stoop sets in.
Karen in Ok.
So sorry I missed seeing your Brother and bonus Sister…maybe this time I’ll win!! See ya next week!! xoxo
Please include me in the give away. Will be there soon. I could use the scooper. Thx
I read your posts all the time and even tell my friends about it. I love Sanibel. I wish we’d known about Sanibel while my mom was still alive. She would have loved it too. I don’t know when my daughter and I will be back but we will be back and I would love to try out a scoop instead of a net. Please enter me in your give away. Thank you.
My first visit to Sanibel was in 1959. I’m thrilled to be returning in Jan. I hope it hasn’t changed too much!! Love your blog Pam.
Would love to win this nifty scoop! I could test it out on the shores of South Padre Island while I await a trip to Sanibel.
I sure would love to win these items—My old back (celebrated my 69th this year) could really use some help gathering shells on Sanibel on our next visit!!! Please enter me in the contest!
It was so great meeting you tonight! Thanks for the lovely shells that you and Clark gave me. I’d love one of your shell sifters! What a cool way to scoop up those shells you just don’t want to lose! Truly an exceptional invention!
I just love your blog! I read it every day. I am coming to Sanibel on Sept 11 for 5 days! It will be my first time there and it’s all because of you little missy :) I have wanted to come since seeing your posts in December of all the shell piles. I don’t expect to see many of those while I’m there…but a girl can hope! I’d love to get my hands on that “back hoe” lol. I hope to see you on the beach!!! (I put this on your fb page, but thought I might be supposed to put it here)
Thank you for your wonderful blog, I check it everyday. It gives me a piece of Sanibel that I miss so much. Can’t wait to get back on the island in December and for the 2012 shell show. Please enter me in your drawing, I would love to win that super shell scoop.
If I win can I borrow Clark for a Junonia finding lesson??? LOL. You can come along too of course! :-)
I love reading about shelling on the Sanibel beaches. I spend the month of July in Sanibel and the other 11 months missing it. Would love to win the cool looking shell sifter.
Pick me! Pick me!!! :o)
Just finishing up a month’s stay in Venice Fl. taking care of my Mother after surgery. We stumbled upon you site a week ago and have enjoyed browsing through it immensely! My Mom and I want to visit Sanibel/Captiva as soon as I can come back! We both have the shell bug and will continue to follow your treasure hunting until we can come get a fix of our own! Thanks so much for all your wonderful info!
If I am picked as the winner of the shell sifter, will I become a good sheller like “SuperSheller Clark”?!!
We bought two for our trip this past May, and left them (accidentally) for others to use on Manasota Key.
Can’t wait till next May!! Love your blog!! ox
Ooh, ooh, pick me! Pick me!
I’m going back after many years to sanibel this september!
would be great to have one!
I love reading your posts and believe I am addicted to your “web site”. I find I need it everyday! Am also addicted to Sanibel! Have been visiting (not as much as I would like) since the early 1960’s! Seen a lot of changes! My husband and I would put the shell scooper/sifter to good use as we have recently purchased a home in Cape Coral – as close as we could afford to get to Sanibel! Thank you for your posts!
Thanks to your blog i get to visit Sanibel every day! Hopefully the shell piles will be big in September when I come down and there won’t be any hurricanes threatening!
I need that! I’m coming in November :)
I am thrilled to have found your website, Pam!! Just a few weeks ago, I stayed on the site looking at all the videos almost 3 hours!!
It was my life’s mission to get to Sanibel and 2 years ago on my 25th wedding anniversary I took my family of four there!!
I went into depression after I left!! LOL I loved there there and hope you pick me!!!
I hope to visit again in January! As I hope to find some “big” ones then. We stayed in Ft. Myers Beach and travelled around!
Look forward to your blogs everyday!
Pam, I read your blog every day. Thanks for keeping this Virginia gal in Sanibel year round. See you in September!
we will be in Sanibel Oct. 22 and sure could use the scoop! Thanks for your blog, it helps make the waiting bearable.
Thanks for a great webisite… I love to go on each week and see all the latest shelling news, and love reading the stories from all your followers. I would like to enter your “Giveaway” for the shelling tool (looks awesome, and I bet it works great!!!) Heres my comments……
Ahhhhh….. Sanibel. Can’t wait to return in November for my 9th Annual “4 generation girls getaway to Sanibel”. It all started when my daughter was born and I wanted to come down from NH to spend a bit of quality time with my daughter, my mother, and my grandmother- knowing that at 90 my grandmother and daughter might not have a lot of opportunites to be together, and wanting to get the 4 generations together in a room on the beautiful beaches of Sanibel (beacause it might be our only opportunity to get the 4 generations together.) Well, one year turned into 2, and 2 turned into 3…. and have developed quite a tradition- we keep coming to the Seaside Inn every year- same room every year, and have had wonderful memories of shelling on the beaches at Blind Pass and the Lighthouse, with my daughter compiling quite a collection that even impressed the folks at Bailey Matthews Shell Museum (and yes- she has found a junonia that she dug out with a pod of tulips in about 1 foot of water in the waters near the Lighthouse- not bad for a 7 year old at the time!). Each year when we sadly check out to leave the Seaside Inn the same scene plays out… Granny taps me on the shoulder and whispers “Honey, be sure to book next November now… the beachfront rooms will go fast.” I sooooo look forward to this exchange, as my grandmother was 98 last year shen she tapped my shoulder and made the same statement about booking now for when “we come next year”. Well Granny is celebrating her 99th birthday this October, and we will be heading to the Seaside Inn in November, and I can’t wait. More importantly- my daughter can’t wait to see Great-Granny who she loves very much, knows very well despite the distance between NH and Fort Myers where she lives independently, and has learned much from over the years… i.e. how to play 500 rummey without mercy, how to lose gracefully to your 97-year old great-grandmother at shuffleboard, how to find the “rollers” in the waves and catch them with your net as they head back towards the sea… and the precious memories continue to build. It amazes me that my grandmother is going to be 99 this year and still is sharp as a tack- even still remembering and describing her first kiss with a twinkle in her eye! I do not know how much longer we will have together, but I can say with certainty that continuing the tradition of trips down to Sanibel for the annual “4 generation trek” have been one of the better decisions I have made in my life. My daughter REALLY KNOWS her great-grandmother (how cool is that?!), and the many jars and boxes of shells that she has collected on the trips will be the thread that keeps the memories alive over the years to come. Ahhhhh….. Sanibel. What a treasure.
I love your posting, Susan. Many wonderful, irreplaceable memories are made on Sanibel. My in-laws accompanied my family on most trips. Sadly they are both gone, but as I shell, I can hear my father-in-law’s voice in my ear: “Whatcha finding, doll?” My daughter and I would literally spend hours digging through a pile of shells. She got brown as a berry and I got red as an apple! Give your great-grandmother an extra hug for those of us who cannot hug our grandmothers.
Thanks for sharing your reply Carol. I will give Granny that extra hug… and thanks for reminding me just how fortunate I am.
Will it make me as super as Clark? ;)
Love this blog and would love to win this prize!!
Saw these being used when I was shelling at Blind Pass last week . Really need to get one for next vacation to Captiva/Sanibel.
Enjoyed Meeting you and your Hubby!
I have been following your site for about five months now. My daughter and I moved to Cape Coral in June and we have fallen in love with shelling. We’re still learning about tides, shell identification, and so much more. We have been looking for a tool like this all over Fort Myers and Cape Coral. Please enter me in the giveaway. My daughter and I would very much enjoy it!
I need this for my next trip to Sanibel!! My family will all be together, including my Japanese son-in-law, who has never been to our piece of Paradise. My son will be returning after 17+ years away from where he spent almost every summer as a kid. It definitely will get lots of use. Does Clark guarantee it will find a junonia?
I love your web site ..Please enter me in the giveaway
My wife and I have just moved to Ocala and look forward to weekend trips to Sanibel. I am the sheller in the family and she is the beautiful sun goddess.
It is fantastic how you keep the sea and seashells in the hearts of so many who aren’t lucky enough to live in such close proximity to heaven on earth. We would love to be entered in your contest for the sifter.
I would love to win one of these scoops as we will be returning to Sanibel Island for a 2nd time in the near future!!!
Please count me in the drawing.
My husband and I love your website. We are addicted to checking it everyday. Visiting Sanibel and collecting shells has become a tradition for our family. My seven year old would love this for her birthday in a couple of weeks. Please enter me in your giveaway.
Count me in on the drawing. We always said life is too short for re-runs but we can’t stop coming to Sanibel in the spring. I’m addicted to shelling and use a dog pooper scooper for shelling. The seashell sifter would keep me from getting all wet since my scooper has a short handle. I’ve recommended your island and the “I Love Shelling” site to others here in the midwest. Perhaps we will meet this year on the beach!
Would make life easier with the scooper. That is a fanstatic, wonderful idea. Would love to have 1, 2, or more. Thanks, Melissa
Hello Sweet Shelling Sistah, Pam
I am so happy for you that you have such a following…but then for all of us lucky enough to have been to Sanibel or to have found your wonderful blog, or to have met you and SuperSheller Clark in person, or to look forward to doing so, it was inevitable….and more and more when I mention Sanibel and iloveshelling I run across folks who actually know our “secret”, so book early!
Thank you for your blog. I can stay connected to Sanibel even though I am far away. Thank you.
I’d love to enter the contest! Your website makes me feel like I’m “shelling,” even though I live in the upper Midwest. Thank you for your fabulous blog!
Love your site… when I need my Sanibel fix, I know just where to go.
Found your website last March after knee surgery and have checked it daily since then. Iam bringing my sisters who are very excited to see where I have been going for the last 14years. I am taking the red eye sept 5 from Sacramento and one is taking the red eye from San Francisco, then the last one will leave early morning from Kansas City on Sept 6, all of us to meet in Ft myer by noon. Sanibel is truly heaven on earth. Thank you so much for your blog.
Thanks so much for all the time you spend helping us to live and re-live our time on Sanibel. It is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Please include me in the drawing. I’ve always wanted to be able to come to Sanibel and Captiva. That would be a great addition to an already great trip.
I so enjoy your blog and it helped immensely when we came down for the week. But the one thing I was missing was your super shelling sifter (say that 3 times fast!)
As always, love the notes and pics!
I would love to have this tool. Please enter me as well
Have checked your blog nearly every day since I discovered it and it’s so good to be connected with my favorite place — even during office hours! Would love to have a new addition to my shelling tools. Please consider this my contest entry.
Looks like finding buried treasure! Sign me up!
I’m headed off to Cancun for a week and checking out your posts is making me very excited for the beach! Isla Mujeres right nearby is also a long north to south island like Sanibel – I hear shelling might be good on the Eastern side! Here’s hoping.
I can’t wait until my fall vacation to spend days doing nothing but shelling!
So so so love Sanibel!!! So so so love your blog!!! Stumbled upon it researching for our next visit down. I’ve been visiting since I was little and have hooked my husband and son. Keep the inspiration and dreaminess coming our way! You rock – rather you shell :-)! Yeah, I know that’s really lame – it’s been a long week getting ready to start school.
I want one!!!!!!!!
I want to be included in the seashell scoop giveaway. We’re heading to Blind Pass this November and the seashell scoop would be a nice surprise for my wife
Even though Im thousands of miles away from Sanibel, a shell sifter would be nice! I will be back in April, and maybe this time with a shell scoop. :)
Maybe if I won this shell sifter, I’d be able to find some good shells down here!! We’re here and very disappointed with the shelling. :(
We were just in Sanibel at the end of July with friends who had never been there before. They loved it so much we are going back next April to celebrate her birthday. The shell sifter would be an awesome present for Dianne!!!
I can not wait until the day I get to come to Sanibel!!
I would love to be entered in the Susick Seashell Sifter give away. I don’t know where to sign up. :) That sifter looks awesome and my sister in law and I spend two weeks on Sanibel every year. We totally enjoyed our trip there in late May-early June this year. We found a lot of shells but didn’t see as many as years before but Sanibel is THE best place ever! We met several people on the beach, took a photo of a guy bringing in a huge snook from shore and shared shells with a couple who had lost all their shells due to the maid throwing them out with the trash (at a local hotel). It was a wonderful trip, can’t wait until next year! We already have the same condo reserved. :) I love your site! :)
Have a shell-filled day in paradise! XXOO
That is a great idea, you know how many times I got home with my back killing me because of being bent down after a long day at the beach looking for shells. awesome!
I used my sister’s when I went to visit her in Fort Myers. We went to Sanibel every day! I would love one for here on Cape Cod! They are the best!
Please enter me in the give away. We are planning on getting to Sanibel some time this fall if things work out for us. PS: Sorry my web site is not shell related. :o)
We took our 7 yr old Grandson to Assateague Island in Maryland for a week. We bought a heavy duty metal version of the shell basket when we were in Sanibel last winter. You can’t find anything like it up north – at least no where we looked. Anyways, our grandson loves shelling and sealife – he had a high old time all week shelling off of Assateague with the scooper. We’ve been going there for years and only ever found broken pieces of shells.
This trip we found sea glass and WHOLE shells. Not near as nice as Sanibel, but lots of little treasures. He informed us he wants to go along when we go to Sanibel again.. My daughter-in-law was amazed with our finds when we got home. She too, only ever found pieces all the times they went to Assateague.
I just love to read your blog. I only make it to Sanibel once a year, but your posts let me enjoy the island all year long. I would love to be included in your giveaway and thanks for bringing Sanibel to College Park Georgia almost everyday for me!!
I have my whole family hooked on iloveshelling.com! It is a daily staple at our house…wouldn’t want to live without it! :)
Me and my mom would love some more shelling tools. this would be awesome to add to our collection to get more great shells!
Pick Me Pick Me
I would like to be included in the seashell sifter scoop give away!
Dear Pam, I’d love a new shelling scoop. I love your blog and read it every day. I live in Harrisburg, PA and will arrive in FM Oct. 7 for the winter.
I have an extensive shell collection, (not as many as yours of course).
My favorite of course is a very small Junonia and an atlantic carrier.
Thanks for your daily writings. Lois
oh, please, pretty please let me win! thanks, debby
Love your site. Helps us get thru the looooong winters in WI. Hope to see you on the beach in September. We’ll be by Algiers Beach. Thanks again for thi great site.
Love to dream about all the mini’s I could catch with that super sifter! Sigh! Clare
All my husband has talked about lately is that he can’t wait to get back to Sanibel. We’ll be back in December, and if it’s like past years at that time we’ll ship boxes of shells back to Iowa. We both say we’ll only collect perfect shells – then fall in love with the ones with small flaws too. Keep up the great work Pam, we love your site!
Takes a while to get to the bottom of these posts. All good things are worth waiting for! Hope I win!
I was told about your website from a fellow shell collector.I looked it up and I was hooked .We have a family owned seashell business in California my Father started it in 1945.It has been my lifelong dream to visit Sanibel I plan to go in March to see the shell Fair and go Shelling for more seashells.Because you can’t never have enough SEASHELLS! I would like to try to win the shell scooper you are giving away. Thanks Alot Lupe
Awesome looking sifter. . .I think it could help with the ailments you have after doing the Sanibel stoop all day! :-)
Great site! My 5 year old loves to find shells. I was looking for places to find shells on Sanibel and ran across your site. We are heading out tomorrow to let the little one play in the sand and pick up shells. Thanks so much for all of the wonderful information and identifying your finds. The sifter looks really cool! Can’t wait to see what we find.
She Sells Sea Shells Down By The Sea Shore!
Yes, I would love to be included in the chance to win the shell sifter!!!
wow Pam… what a great response to your giveaway for the shell sifter-shovel…
Please add me to the mix for the giveaway. I may not be able to use it for a few months due to my health issues at present, but you can bet it will sit in my room as a constant reminder and goal of hope for recovering!.
A HUGE HUGE thanks to the two awesome ladies that sent me the shells this week… you have no idea what a role you are playing in my recovery and an encouragement to rest in order to heal so I can get back to the shores of Sanibel and Captiva! both gifts are beside me on the bedstand and whenever I get discouraged or am in alot of pain, all I have to do is look over at these shells, take a deep breath, and am relaxed.. P- that small trinket box handpainted and filled with precious mini shells, my fave, is a priceless gift! Thank you so very much! Have a blessed weekend all you shelling sisters and brothers!
Woould love the Susick Seashell Sifter because it would get me those shells on the NJ and Florida coast that are just always a bit out of reach….Please enter me in the contest.
i LOVE your blog!!!!!!!! it keeps me updated until i go on my trip!!!!
Since they won’t let me take a backhoe onto the beach this could be the next best thing.
Love looking and reading you site, we will be coming to sanibel the 1st of October and cant wait to see all the shells!!!
Thanks Rod & Deb
Haven”t been to sanibel in years. Looking forward to coming the end of sept. neat tool . wondering if the handle telescopes, so it’s easier to transport on a plane. you have a wonderful website.
Please enter me in the giveaway……..hope the sifter comes with Clark’s luck for finding Junonias! Thanks for all you do Pam, love your website.

I’d love having one of these. Please enter me in the give away.
I love to shell!
The perfect gift for the person that has everything!
heading to Ft Myers/Sanibel in October for the first time in over 20 years!!
I listened to a lone seagull today – at Lake Madison, South Dakota! I closed my eyes and thought of shelling on Sanibel. I’m sooo–o-o looking forward to our next trip.
Pam, yours is my favorite blog. Love shelling and Sanibel.
Oh wow, it would be fabulous to have one of the shell sifters! What a great idea. I hope to make it to Sanibel one day. I love the shells you find!
I would love to win one of these!
I hope I’m not too late. I would love to have it to grow up with to start my shell collection!! Beautiful pictures all the time!!!
love looking at your website!! I love sanibel!!!
Hi, Just found your web site. We are coming to Sanibel Sept 17th to the 24th. This would be a great addition to shelling. I hope i’m not to late to enter the drawing saying prayers I win this.We love Sanibel ,we come almost every year.
Sandy from Oz!!! Kansas
I adore your blog and I love reading all the great tips, and stories. My family is going to Sanibel this Christmas and I am sooooo excited. I have only gone to California once and ever since i found 1 sea shell I was inspired to find more. I never found much but I am hoping to in Sanibel! The only shells I find are only pieces of shells. What are the best tips you have for me? Thanks soooooo much for creating such a great blog!!
After losing several layers of skin on my leg from our metal shelling basket on our recent trip that plastic one may save a leg!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m sitting here enjoying the glories of your wonderful site in flickering candlelight because Pennsylvania is getting its relatively minor lashing from Hurricane Irene. I know that I have truly become a spiritual citizen of Sanibel because hurricane alerts are usually scintillating things that spawn surreal fantasies of shell covered beaches. This hurricane in Amish Country is annoyingly shell-free.
I would dearly love to win this Clark-sanctioned shell scoop. Count me in!
Just 20 days ago I was on your beaches. With each birthday it gets harder to wait to return.
Thank you for this beautiful bridge to paradise that you have created for us all.
I was surprised to find your site & pleased I might add.I found several sunray clam shells @ St.Andrews park.I was looking for info on them.I really love your site.
I will be going to Sanibel tomarrow, hope to see ya there, I will be shelling and fishing if the waves are flat, I have a metal shelling scoop I just love, how is yours different
Pick me! Nothing makes me happier than finding the perfect shell. Many in my collection but never baby ear. Love the pics posted of couple at lighthouse beach. Found two beautiful cone at barefoot beach last weekend.
Enter us please! My husband and I have both had knee surgeries and used to be avid shell collectors until we could not get up from the sand independantly. Your device looks like the PERFECT answer to those of us still YOUNG AT HEART!!!
Hi! I just found this site yesterday and here I am again back for a visit! My sister and I are life-long sea shellers in the Northeast. I bought a similar one, and I would love to give this to her for her birthday this Sept.! I hope I win!
Gina, sorry but you need to check the dates…this was awarded August 2011.
Glad you found this site…it is very special to all of us.
I’d love to have one.
I would love to win the shell scoop. I am planning my vacation next early fall to come down there and do nothing but shell for a week. I love your website and look forward to all your posts. Thank You.
Love it! Hope I can win the shell scoop and come to Sanibel Island to use it in January!
Please enter me in the drawing. I’ve really enjoyed this site!
