Thank you, Claudette, for sending this new picture to us to solve the LION’S PAW<\/a>– PEN SHELL<\/a> mystery on my previous post Octopus in the Dark<\/a>. It’s a pen shell…not a lion’s paw (agree?).<\/p>\n

Claudette wrote \u00a0“We guess this Octopus to be about 16″ from tip to tip! It stopped, posed and took off running I have about 4 pics of it! \u00a0The color change was amazing, going from dark (on the shell) to white… like the sand!” . Thank you for taking so many pictures of this guy so we could check this shell out a bit closer….. although it kind of made me happy thinking it was a lion’s paw too.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
