Kitten's Paws<\/p><\/div>\n

The Red Tide is gone and so are most of the shells on the beaches I have visited. When I walked up to the Captiva side of Blind Pass, I saw the same picked over broken shell pile that I\u2019ve seen the last few days with only one woman working the pile. I expected her to say that she was disappointed with the shelling but when I asked her if she had found anything good she said \u201cYes! Lots!\u201d.<\/p>\n

Joanie<\/p><\/div>\n

Her name was Joanie and she was in KITTEN\u2019S PAW heaven. KITTEN\u2019S PAWS get overlooked sometimes because they aren\u2019t semetrical and they vary in color and size. Joanie uses these and other shells to embellish sculptures, use as a medium for chandeliers and just loves to be surrounded by them. She explained that she \u201csleeps, breathes and dreams of shells. I\u2019m very passionate about it.\u201d She is so passionate about shelling that she and her husband just closed on a house in Cape Coral this morning(!) so she could shell any day she wanted in Southwest Florida.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
