Looks like the iphone works just fine. Can’t wait for more photos. It looks and feels like a shelling frenzy. Sure wish I was part of it.

Mother Nature very fickle. No shells this evening at Blind Pass as tide is going out! Such a bounty this morning!

Yeah!! I’m going to head over to Sanibel, as well, for some of this great shelling thanks to Isaac!! Pam – I’ve been going over to Little Hickory every single day and the shell piles have been 3+ feet deep for the last couple of days, too! I have found everything from fighting conchs, horse conchs (6 of them over 10 inches!!), sea whips, sand dollars, 7 Alphabet Cones so far, lots of Angel Wings and one that is 6 1/2 inches long and PERFECT condition!! I am in shelling heaven!! :) Thanks for all of the updates on Sanibel!! I’m excited to go shelling over there this week, too!

    Have fun!! :)

First time reading this blog and it has to be one of the best! So jealous of all of the treasures around you guys!!

***It’s nice finding someone who gets excited about finding coral because of the common passion and because I need advice. How do you clean the coral that you find on the beach. My boyfriend and I recently visited Myrtle Beach State Park and came home with a lot of coral treasures. Some of our best coral finds had twinges of blue, pink, or orange. I want to be able to preserve them the best I can, without killing the color, which I am afraid bleaching will do. So far my cleaning regimen is very basic. I have gone through half of our finds and rinsed them with hot water for a minute or two, then towel dried them. What’s your routine? Any help or knowledge is appreciate and many thanks!***

  11. That lady in the front in the hat is actually me. I tried to AVOID your camera, but you caught me! That was a pretty amazing day though. I have been coming to Sanibel for shells for 10 plus years & found more GOOD shells in 4 days than I ever have in the 10 years combined. It was just amazing.
