Thanksgiving With Buttercups And Turkey Wings

By

Buttercups and turkey wings

This isn’t a Butterball turkey, they are BUTTERCUPS and TURKEY WINGS for a little seashell therapy for Thanksgiving. And what would Thanksgiving be without turkey…. wings, that is. TURKEY WINGS!

All along Sanibel, I found TURKEY WINGS and BUTTERCUPS this past week so I got tickled that Mother Nature was keeping with the Thanksgiving theme. Coincidink? I think not.

SAME TO YOU!!!!! And all the kindred souls that meet here for our Sanibel Fix, I wish you the best as well.

Especially you Pam, who I consider a friend, and my new friend Sheri Zip and Sam!!

I love buttercups. They are such a simple shell but something about the smooth outside and warm yellow inside calls to me!

    Happy Thanksgiving!

I love turkey wings! I collect them for my kindergarten class and the boys go ape over them. There is a Reading Rainbow show that talks about them and they think it is so cool that I have them to pass out. I thought I was the only one on the beach that collects them!

We are driving there as we speak (or I should rather say, “as I read. “.) Well, actually my husband is driving while I’m checking emails. I always am happy to see new postings from you! Happy Turkey Day! See you on the beach. We’ll be the ones looking for shells. :)

Happy Thanksgiving to you and Clark plus your family. When we first started coming to Sanibel the first kind of shell Richard started picking up was the turkey wing, that’s why I think he’ll find a junonia before me. I love buttercups but when I find them I give them a new name. When I find them in the morning I think they look like a sunrise and when I find them in the evening their like a sunset.
    Happy Thanksgiving everyone
